Computer Applications I

COURSE DESCRIPTION Computer Applications I is a course designed to teach students how to use the computer as a business and personal tool through the use of applications software including database management, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, presentations, and publishing. Handheld and alternate input devices will also be introduced. Students will also learn to use the Internet and will be given assignments in which searching the Internet will be required. (An online agreement must be signed by a parent or guardian).

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS
GRADING Student evaluations are in compliance with Columbus County Schools policy and may include the following: daily class work, class participation, current events summaries, and formal tests (VoCATS objective tests and performance tests).
Formal tests will count towards 75% of the grade. All other assignments will count towards 25% of the grade. |
