Computer Applications II

COURSE DESCRIPTION Computer Applications II is designed to help students master beginning and advanced skills in the areas of desktop publishing, presentation graphics, web page design, and integrated software applications. Telecommunications and on-line services will also be introduced. Emphasis is placed on the refinement of skills of commonly used application programs. Critical thinking, work-based learning strategies and the international marketplace will also be discussed. Students will discuss ethical issues as they relate to computer and Internet use and will gain vital leadership skills.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS
GRADING Student evaluations are in compliance with Columbus County Schools policy and may include the following: daily class work, class participation, current events summaries, and formal tests (VoCATS objective tests and performance tests).
Formal tests will count towards 75% of the grade. All other assignments will count towards 25% of the grade.
